Hi my name is Mazlan. I must confess that since joining HubPages in November 2011, I have been spending most of my free time writing, something that I hardly did before. As an engineer, I spend my working hours both in and out of offices and writing means, either a technical or a business report. I am now retired and spend time doing many many things that I wasn’t able to do before, like going to the gym at least 3 times a week.

My interest is varied and will write about anything that I think is worth sharing. I love to travel and over the past 30 years, I had the opportunity to travel to more than 30 countries in Asia, Australia, USA, UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle Eastern countries. During my student days, I hitch-hiked to most part of the UK and Europe, staying in youth hostels and sometimes even sleeping at railway stations. It was fun and traveling has always been my passion.

I also like to keep myself fit, eating healthy food, getting closer to religion and ensuring good family value. So I will write on these things and anything else that is worth sharing.

I spent a lot of time doing in-depth research for topics that interest me. Sometimes I think I spent too much time, tweaking the article and finding the right photos, before it get published. I guess if you enjoy doing it, then it's OK!
